Chesticles and back

Hello HI! 

Today has probably been the most eventful day since I've finished school... I went to the dentist. How sad is that?  

I woke up around 10 am but got out of bed around 10:45,  had 1/2 a cup of oatmeal and tbsp of brown sugar. 

Then I just hung out, surfed the net for some inspirational stories, watched ETalk for a bit and down loaded this song...

I ate again at 1:30 -  3 eggs, yogurt and a banana. Had to stock up because I left for the dentist and I couldn't eat for a while after that! 

The dentist is always eventful, I hate it. There's something about foreign objects poking and prying at my gums. like OUCH. But I snapped a quick one while I was checking the weather for my dentist because he's going golfing tomorrow. What a good guy, he always hums and sings NOT the right words to every song on the radio. 


HAHA YUP. THIS IS ME ^^ 

After the dentist around 2:30 I took a pit stop at my best friends place, hung out for a bit, and yes I ate a granola bar (chocolate chip) shame on me! I couldn't resist. I love chocolate :)  


When I got home I ate again before the gym - 3oz of extra lean ground beef, zucchini and red peppers. 
Then off to the gym! 

Before I started my work out a trainer measured my body fat % - I'm 124 pounds and 15% body fat. 

Today was Chest and light back. My work out consisted of: 
Chest: 
Dumbell press 10 x 3 
Decline Dumbell press 12 x 4 
Incline barbell press 10 x 4 
Unlimited push-ups between sets (I pretty much just go until I can't push anymore) 
 
Light back:
Lat pull down 12 x 3 
Close grip pull-down 10 x 3 
Unlimited pull-ups (until failure) 
Bent Rows 12 x 3 
Cable rope pulls 12 x 4 (I really don't know what these are actually called so I just made the name up. Sorry) 

Then hopped onto the step mill, put my fav playlist on (which obviously consisted of call me maybe) and danced while I stepped for 40 minutes, stretched, then left. 

I drank a protein shake on the way home. 

Then around 7ish I had 3oz of Tilapia, asparagus and sweet potato.

What Inspires You?


What keeps you inspired and motivated in the FitLife? 

For me it’s the feeling of putting my headphones on and escaping from the world. I'm in control now, its up to me when I give up, how hard I'm going to push myself and how heavy I'm going to go. That burn during a set, and that last rep struggle to get the weight up. 

Bigger and stronger people inspire and motivate me, I admire all the hard work they have put into their bodies. The things sacrificed and the time/effort they’ve put into preparing meals and staying disciplined. 

It motivates me to inspire people close to me that I love and care about. 

and (OBVIOUSLY) Pictures motivate me. I picked out a few inspiring bodies.  

These are bodies that inspire ME, everyone has a different interpretation of what the "perfect body" is. Keep an open mind! 









These women are strong, disciplined and straight up fit. Damn ladies, Imma get on your level! These bodies are the result of weight training, regular cardio and a CLEAN diet.

The choice is yours


Really... The choice is yours. Balance is key! Take care of your body because its the ONLY place you will ever live :). You don't have to take your fitness to extreme, but stay active and eat healthy!

Daily Dose of Leg

Alright, So what did I do today?

Since finishing exams, I have a break until I start working for the summer May 6th. So I've been sleeping in like CRAAAAZY! I woke up this morning at 12... Yup noon. I bet your wondering what the first thing I did was... Or maybe not. But I ate (obviously), I never skip breakfast.

I had 1/2 a cup of quaker oats, I also took a multivitamin and 3 fish oils. 

 sometimes I put cinnamon on it, sometimes apples, and even brown sugar. It gets kind of boring day after day. After I ate I played with my cat for a while, because really, since school has finished I have nothing to do. I'd say that I'm really committed to the gym, I spend my days excited to go to the gym!

Around 3:00 I ate again, I had 3 eggs (the whole damn thing, not just the whites, because I'm bad ass like that). 1 peach yogurt, a handful of almonds and a glass of water.  

My dad came home from work just as I was eating up, and he was obviously hungry, so I made him an egg sandwich. Such a good daughter I am. But he's an even better dad, because he helped me pay for my gym membership for the summer. THANKS DAD!

Well, off to the gym (4pm)

Mondays = Legs

Barbell Squat 10 (reps)  x 4 (sets)
Barbell DeadLifts 10 x 4
Lunges 4 x 20
Body Squats x 50  (usually do these between sets)
Hamstring Curl 8 x 3
Leg Extension 8 x 3

When I was resting between hamstring curl, I was sliding down the seat part of it (kind of hard to explain) Anyways. I did it twice and I looked up and a bunch of people were watching and laughing at me! But hey, I was having a good time, I was laughing too!

After my work out I always do 40 minutes of cardio, on the step mill (the step mill is your best friend ladies) - It seems like a long time, but blast your favourite songs and step away! I dance sometimes, get the head bobbing, people look over, probably think I'm crazy. But heck, I don't care!

Stretched after my work out and guzzled back a protein shake. 

I got home, hung out with the family and ate again 7:30 - 3oz of Tilapia, asparagus, broccoli, zucchini and red pepper. nom nom nom.



All and all it was a good day, I only got 4 meals in, but I slept in late! Tomorrow I'll be up and ready to go and eat more. I love this Fit Life!

Oh hey there, Welcome! 

 This is my first FitnessLuv101 blog post. Keep in mind here, I'm not an English major and I'm only human. I'll make mistakes and my writing may not be perfect! But hey, I'm not here for an English lesson. I'm here to motivate you and take you along my fitness journey. I'm a 20 year old student with a love for fitness anything!
